Jan. 29th

My latest 2D project. Paint over a picture, show depth, then deny depth.
The monochrome is suppose to be the depth panting, while the multicolored one denies depth.
The grid in the middle was suppose to be what we made, then used to match the colors..but yeah mine were a bit off.

When you hold the multicolored one to the light, and look at it from the back, it looks like a really cool black and green zombie picture, I might try to capture it with my camera.

A few shots from my shoot with my partner Viki. I won't be posting the pictures I took until after we present out final things to the classes. These are the two shots she took that are my favorite, the one with the blue background won't be used in her final trip, her teacher asked her to focus more on my tattoos.

Jan. 15th 2010

One of my dads paintings. I was going to upload my other favorite one, but it still needs to be cropped.
Pretty much I was glad when he started painting two years ago, going by nothing but his own skill and tv shows. Mostly because it showed I wasn't the only artsy person in the family, someone else actually can do, and enjoys doing some form of art, so I'm not such an oddball! He hasn't painted anything new in a long time, I don't know why but I wish he would. He doesn't care about making money off of them, but he could make a decent amount, and I really want some to hang up while I'm at school.

No photo. Just some rambeling.

Why we live the way we do:
On the first day, God created the dog and said:

'Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. For this, I will give you a life span of twenty years.'

The dog said: 'That's a long time to be barking. How about only ten years and I'll give you back the other ten?'
So God agreed.

On the second day, God created the monkey and said:

'Entertain people, do tricks, and make them laugh. For this, I'll give you a twenty-year life span.'

The monkey said: 'Monkey tricks for twenty years? That's a pretty long time to perform. How about I give you back ten like e the Dog did?'

And God agreed.

On the third day, God created the cow and said:

'You must go into the field with the farmer all day long and suffer under the sun, have calves and give milk to support the farmer's family. For this, I will give you a life span of sixty years.'

The cow said: 'That's kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty years, especially, if I have to wear a cowbell!!. How about twenty and I'll give back the other forty!!!

And God agreed again.

On the fourth day, God created humans and said:

'Eat, sleep, play, marry and enjoy your life. For this, I'll give you twenty years.'

But the human said: 'Only twenty years? Could you possibly give me my twenty, the forty the cow gave back, the ten the monkey gave back, and the ten the dog gave back; that makes eighty, okay?'

'Okay,' said God, 'You asked for it.'

So that is why for our first twenty years we eat, sleep, play and enjoy ourselves. For the next forty years we slave in the sun to support our family. For the next ten years we do monkey tricks to entertain the grandchildren. And for the last ten years we sit on the front porch and bark at everyone.

Life has now been explained to you.

There is no need to thank me for this valuable information. I'm doing it as a public service

After helping Josh with an Erwin Olaf  shoot, I had a lot of black make up left under my eyes...so I figured I would take a new self portrait.

Jan. 9th 2010

My current 2D project: Take a portrait, posterize it between 4-9 levels, then pain over it first with only one color (plus darker and lighter shades), then use multiple colors. We also need to make a 'grid' of 3 different primary colors and their shades, and have it show depth.

Currently: This is the monochrome painting, the first one was only after I'd put primary red on, the second was primary red, plus all of the 3 darker shades. So it's a little over half done. I'll post the final piece after I do the 3 lighter shades. (Personally, I like it with just primary red on it.)

Portrait; Taken By: Myself, Model: Haewon, her blog is here: http://atelier-rose.blogspot.com/

None of these pictures are really new, however I really miss my pets. This is Thomas, he's my favorite cat back home. Anytime I'm home, he always greets me at the door, no matter what time I'm coming home, and he doesn't do that with anyone else. It's odd because he just knows that it's me. If I'm in my room, he pretty much doesn't leave my bed, it's just cute. He's a good companion and I really wish I could have him here with me.
